Soma Yaga :
Soma, the ambrosia of the gods, is the main sacrificial offering in Soma Yaga.
Soma Juice :
It is a Juice obtained from the extraction of Soma Creeper.
Soma Creeper:
The Soma Creeper is a greenish creeper with knoths for every 8-10 inches. According to the lunar month one leaf only appears in the creeper on the second day of the month. It thus gets added at the rate of one leaf per day and will have 14 leaves on the fullmoon day. It just resembles the development of the moon to her full circular form. In the Same way with the commencement of the dark half of the lunar month (Krishna Paksha) the first leaf that appeared a fortnight ago withers away and by the end of the latter fortnight i.e., New moon day all the 14 leaves wither away leaving the creeper bare. This is the most appropriate period to collect the creeper.
