Yagnas or Yajnas
The word “Yagna” is a noun derived from the Sanskrit verb root “Yag”, which is usually transact as “to Sacrifice”. The basis of Yajna is the pouring of food offering or oblations into the sacrificial fire. It is believed that the fire receivesthe oblations poured and carries them to the subtle cosmic levels for which the oblations are intended.
